NDIS & APPLEWOOD

Here at Applewood Equine Assisted Learning we are happy to assist Self-Managed or Plan Managed NDIS participants of all ages, to support them to understand and achieve their NDIS goals.

Activities with horses and sometimes other animals in a nature rich environment. Each session ties back to at least one goal. Through multiple sessions we can focus on several goals or one main goal.

In a session we may work on:

• Calm and Self-regulation

• Awareness of self and others

• Boundary consciousness

• Communication improvement

• Separation and other anxiety 

• Confidence building

• Resilience strengthening

• Responsibility development

• Trust enhancement

• Improving relationship capabilities

• Facing challenges

• Problem solving

Mel will work with you to tailor sessions to achieve your goals.

Ideally our NDIS clients would attend on a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
Cost of the sessions is $160/hour and as varied by the NDIS.

A strict 24-hour 100% cancellation fee applies. We can put in place an ongoing Service Agreement if required.
If there is an extreme storm forecast at your session time or within your travelling time either side of the session, or the temperature at your scheduled time is over 35 degrees, these are appropriate reasons for cancellation.
However, please discuss this with me and I would appreciate that if possible you could take the option to reschedule rather than cancel.
